Helen Newberry Joy Hospital and Healthcare Center

Acute Care

Our 25-bed Acute Care Unit serves those patients requiring continuous care on an inpatient basis. Under the care of a highly-trained nursing staff, patients choose Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center because they can have it all — excellent treatment, a convenient location for visitors, and a friendly staff. Medical/surgical nurses deliver expert care that addresses our patients' medical and surgical conditions.
In January, 2000, Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center was designated a Critical Access Hospital (CAH). This was due, in part, to our rural location and the distance from Newberry to other hospitals.
What does that mean to you, as our patient? First and foremost, it means that you can rely on HNJH to provide for your medical needs now and well into the future. You can also expect to see regular advancements in technology, staff training, and physician recruitment. For more information contact Director of Nursing, Kim Kerridge, RN, at 906-293-9282 or via e-mail at kkerridge@hnjh.org.
