Purpose: To provide interesting statistics on the Hospital at a glance.

Community Service Activities/Year
  • Hospital Employees provide over a ton of food per year during Harvest Gathering Food Drive.
  • HNJH provides health career scholarships in the amount of $2,500 to students pursuing health care careers.
  • Each, Christmas, Hospital employees provide 70 gifts to needy families.
  • As a job training site, we provide 15 opportunities per year for individuals to receive marketable job skills.
  • The Hospital serves as a training site through Michigan Works with an average of 11 students per year, and an additional 9 students through Tahquamenon Area Schools Vocational Educational Program
  • HNJH in cooperation with Pathways provides 4 positions for the mentally and physically handicapped.
  • We provide health screenings in seven communities each year.
  • We provide flu clinics each year that immunizes in excess of 150 individuals.
  • We have provided a total of 10 AED's to local police and educational organizations.
  • We have provided 100 bicycle helmets to area children during the past year.
  • We provided over 40 CPR classes over the past.
  • HNJH provides health education programs for 7th and 8th grade students.
  • HNJH trains an average of 20 CNA's each year.
  • HNJH provides a number of support and educational programs including:
  • Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue, Healthy Heart Support Group, Diabetes Education Program, Stroke Awareness Program.
  • In addition, HNJH provides opportunities for students to learn more about the health care field through tours and Career Day activities.
  • 150-200 Sports Physicals each year.
Telemedicine/Clinical Consults
HNJH provided 114 Telemedicine clinical consults last year.
HNJH provided 185 educational/business meetings via video conferencing.
